This famous window belonged to the demolished Carmo Convent, having been applied to the current building at the end of the 19th century.
It is considered the most important example of Manueline-Mudejar in the entire Alentejo. It is suggested that it was built around 1520, showing many similarities with the windows of the Manueline part of the Palace of Sintra.
It presents some artistic details that already bear the mark of the renaissance, such as the rosette in the central part, the flowers and the cherub head that can be seen in the center.
